Our Coconuts
Our coconuts are exclusively sourced from Sri Lanka, the best place in the world to source the highest quality, organic coconuts that are harvested both sustainably and ethically. The fertile plains and ideal weather conditions in Sri Lanka support year-round coconut growth.
The salty and sandy soil provides a perfect foundation for robust coconut palm growth. Sri Lanka are pioneers in eco-friendly practices, with 80% of coconut production originating from small farms rather than commercial plantations, resulting in minimal environmental impact due to the absence of pesticides and fertilisers.
Our farmers hand-harvest our coconuts, without the use of mechanised machinery or monkeys. Once they have been chopped down and collected using traditional island techniques, they are then de-husked one by one before the flesh is separated from the fruit.
The outer parts of the coconut are then used to make coco peat-based products so none of the coconut goes to waste. All our farmers are paid a fair wage, and the farms bring opportunities for work in communities in Sri Lanka.
